Facelift!

hardie plank siding

For this current home that we’re working on, we’re giving it a whole new facelift, which includes HardiePlank siding installation, roof replacement, window replacement, and deck installation. The roof we’re installing is a 30-year architectural shingle, meaning the shingles have a more distinctive and dramatic appearance. The new vinyl windows were manufactured in Georgia by a company called Magnolia Window & Door. We’re excited about the journey ahead of us!

Deck & Siding Installation

For this one particular home, we stripped off the old siding to install fresh siding and began adding a screened in enclosure to the back of the house. In addition, we’re installing recessed lighting in the garage ceiling. Recessed lighting is a light fixture that creates the dramatic effect of light shining downward from the ceiling. The photos indicate our work in progress. This 3rd photo shows the finished siding and progress of the deck. We’ve come a long way!

It may not look like much now, but this work in progress is going to be a beautiful addition to this house. In the front, we have built a two-story porch that will have tiled floors on the second story and 8 12” round columns on both stories. In the rear of the house, French doors will open up to the back deck, which will have a beautiful arbor above it. Front porches like the one above are classic features of inviting, southern-style homes, and are a great way to improve the look and value of your home. Check out some of our other porches and decks that we have worked on here.

Windows, Siding and Decks…Oh My!

Porch Contractor

This home was our most recent project. We did a full window replacement due to the rot buildup behind the windows, we replaced the siding on the home, we repainted the exterior and we added a brand new deck! For the deck, we did a tongue and groove ceiling, added ceiling fans and wired the fans. When doing window replacements, we use full sash pack kits, which will never rot and the paint will stay on the PVC (polyvinyl chloride), which is being used more and more now in the construction industry.
